Your Store: No Store Selected (find a store)

Brand Blog: Vans

It’s that time again… the time when we get to feature one of our favorite brands among the Journeys fam. This month’s feature goes out to the one and only: Vans. Vans and Journeys sort of go together like PB&J, and we simply wouldn’t have it any other way.

As you head in-store in the upcoming weeks you’ll notice some new art, photography, and tables dedicated to Vans and its latest styles. Get the sneak peek below and be sure to head in-store or straight to the site to shop the selection.

Vans Knu Skool

It’s the Knu style. It’s the Knu Skool. If you haven’t seen the latest addition to the Vans family, you’ve been missing out! Check out the variety of colorways and prints available in this trendy, chunky style below:

Vans Checkerboard

Vans is known for its iconic checkerboard print, but how did this print come to be? The story behind the checkerboard print began a decade after Vans took over the skate, surf, and music scenes. Steve Van Doren, son of founder Paul Van Doren, noticed that skaters were coloring their shoes to look like checkerboards. Always wanting to best serve young skaters, Van Doren decided to develop that concept by printing the pattern on the Vans canvas. And so the famous checkerboard style was born, and the brand has been known for it ever since!

Vans Platform

The Platform trend is NOT slowing down anytime soon. Get the Vans you know and love in platform styles that we can barely keep stocked before they sell out, including the Knu Stack Skate!

Vans is a brand like no other. After being around for almost 60 years, there are probably not many people that you know who have never owned a pair for themselves. As the brand keeps creating and evolving, we love going back to look at the timeless classics and then turning around and showing off the NEW styles that make them even more beloved every day. Let us know your faves, and tag us @journeys when you shop Vans for the upcoming school year.
