'Tis the Szn of giving and giving back! We're kicking off the holiday season with Journeys Attitude That Cares and the Donate at the Register Program.
Donate at the Register, one of the most popular events with our nonprofit partner Can'd Aid, has been a major success over the last few years. Thanks to customers like you, we've been able to give more to Can'd Aid every single year. This year marks the third year of the annual giving event, and we want it to be the best and biggest yet. Here's what you need to know before you give:
What is Can'd Aid
Can'd Aid is a Colorado-based nonprofit organization whose impact can be felt nationwide. As a company, it takes a unique approach to volunteering in order to positively impact the lives of underserved youth. The main goal is to get kids outside, up, and moving to help them find new skills, hobbies, and art forms.
With a particular focus on skateboards, bikes, and instruments, Can'd Aid is actively fulfilling a need in our communities that Journeys is always stoked to get behind.
Journeys x Can'd Aid
We love Can'd Aid, which is why we work with them in such a close capacity. Recently celebrating its 10-year anniversary, Journeys has had the pleasure of working with Can'd Aid for almost half of that decade. We've teamed up on many projects to help contribute to the over 16,000 bikes and skateboards and over 3,500 instruments Can'd Aid has donated to young people. Journeys has also partnered with Can'd Aid on local park and recreation area cleanups, as well as clean drinking water donations to those in need.
Initiatives like Donate at the Register help fund and support the things Can'd Aid is doing every day to improve the lives of young artists, athletes, and other teens. This year's donations will go toward more bike donations to kids in communities in need across the country.
